Caroline's first mission

Caroline was walking with her weapon Hughes, through the warehouse full of human souls and the serial killer who turned them that way. She felt a strange presence, and she was thrown across the room into a wall, making her cry out. "Hughes!!"

I get pounded in the back and thrown into the wall next to Caroline. The Kishin Egg uncovers his face from the shadows. He was huge and bulky. He only wore shredded and worn out jean shorts. He came running slowly but forcefully over to us and clutched Highes face in his hands. He picked my up and slammed me against the wall several times before letting me slip down out of his grasp, a stream of blood running down the wall. I lay unconscious.

I get up, part of my back dented with rock and shards of glass. I crawl towards Hughes, and gently heal him, his blod at the back of his head drying and the wound disappearing. I groan, and help him up.

I stutter and stumble when I get up. My visionw as hazy and blurred. I saw a dark mass running towards me. I felt a force so powerful and I found myself being pressed against the wall. The creature roared horrifically. I turned my hands into burning string and shot the string around its neck. It released me and struggled for its breath. "Now Caroline!" I screamed. It was too late. The Kishin Egg snapped the string with ease and came charging after her.

She took a deep breath, and jumped over him, landing on the back of his neck and hanging on. "Hughes, transform!!"I call to him, steering the Kishin Egg into the wall, dislocating my shoulder in the process.

I turn into my weapon form and strings from my blade attaches to Carolines arms, propelling myself towards her. I release the string s and land hin her hands. The Kishin Egg slams his hand on the back of his neck. I push use my strings to push back Caroline out of the way from the gigantic hand. I dodged out of the as well in my human form and immediately go back into my weapon form once more. I land in Caroline's hands.

"Thanks,"I whisper to the sword, jumping onto the Kishin Egg again, slashing his back over and over again climbing up it before the gigantic hamd grabs me in a choke hold, and I squirmed, and cried out in pain as he threw me across the huge warehouse, flipping over and over and slamming into the wall.

I change into my human form, my arm the blade, and charge the beast. I stab upwards in the air, not hitting anything, but strings sprouted out the sides of the swords and clung onto the Kishin Eggs neck. The string tugged and pulled down the Kishin Egg, whose neck landed straight onto my blade arm. It lay there, limp. Blood dripping down my arm. The peculiar thing was that didnt uncover its soul. I ripped out my blade and turned it into my normal arm. I turned towards Caroline and started to run over to her. Just then I got tugged back and I was forcefully turned to face the Kishin Egg, who had a huge shard of glass in his hand. He thrust his hand forward and the glass penetrated my skin. He dropped me and I fell to the ground. Blood dripping from my mouth.

"HUGHES!!"I screamed at the top of my lungs, the ground shattering into sharp vines around our bodies, and they surrpunded the Kishin Egg, and they stabbed him all over, blood splattered on the tips when they retracted back. I started to tumble to Hughes, using my lastbit of energy to heal his wound."Hughes, please, stay. Stay, stay, please..." I grabbed the nearest thing I could find, which was a huge glass shard, and started to stab the Kishin egg until it was bleeding everywhere.

The Kishin Eggs chest splattered with blood. It dropped to its knees and roared horrifically. It raised its fist and tried to slam it down on Caroline.

I shivered in a pool of my own blood.

She pushed Hughes away from her, and decapitated it with some string she got from Hughes' pocket. "There...Hughes..." She whisperes as she starts to help him up, leaning him on her side. She ignores the pain in her shoulder, and kisses his head. "It's alright....it's over..."

My eyes turn pale. "I-I'm dying... aren't I?" I stutter.

"No...no! I won't let you!" I shake his shoulder, placing my hands on his chest, healing him slowly, and I take the soul that was left of the Kishin Egg, and smile, holding it to him. I heal him more, until he was fully healed."...we...WE DID IT!!" I smile widely, hugging him tightly around the neck.

I hug her back, but my eyes stayed pale, death continueing to linger in my soul. I take the soul and eat it. "Our first soul..." I say.

I smile back at him, gently kissing his cheek. "Yeah. You did good."

"You were the impressive one... I almost died, twice." I say.

I only sigh, cradling his cheeks in my palms. "Hughes, you saved me over three times...and....it was my fault. All.All of it!" She started to sink to the floor, and hung her head down. "It was my fault that you almost died...it was my fault that you got hurt..." Tears fell from her eyes, and she buried her head in her hands, turning away from him.

"No... It wasn't..." A hole in the ceilng produce a ray of the moons light into the warehouse. "Im the weapon and I'm suppposed to protect you..." I put my arm around her.

"Then what, Hughes?" She asked, her eyes glittering like gems. "What could I do if i lost the most sweet awesome, confident, really adorable weapon that I've ever had? I couldnt do anything."

I didnt say a word. All I did was just lean in and I kissed her. The moons light shining through the hole in the roof reach to us. Sparkles in the ray of light glinted.

I blushed madly,kissing him back sweetly, raising my hands to press them against his cheeks. My cheeks enflamed in a mad blush, which I could bet he felt too.

I put my arms around her neck. My eyes were still pale and cold. I felt a rush. I pulled back out of the kiss. "S-sorry..." I say, looking at the ground.

"…Did you... Did you mean it…?" She asked softly, brushing some hair out of his eyes.

I don't answer. I just stare at the ground.

I bite my lip, immediately standing up. "I... i see. Well... s-see you tomorrow, partner..." I say weakly, walking aeay quickly, tears coming to my eyes.
