A Nightmare of a first day

Nightmare was slowly making his way to the school, trying to avoid as much light as possible by staying under his umbrella. What a horrible way to start the day.

Hybrid ran up the steps of the DWMA and went straight through the doorway in a rush, wanting to get my seat before anyone else takes it.

I saw someone running towards me, so I walked in front of him to stop him.

I had stepped to the right of him as he stepped in front of me. As I ran on I looked back to see the face of a new kid.

"Awesome, now something exciting will happen." I mumble to myself.

I was angry, Now how am I supposed to find my class? I know! I started to chase after him using the great amount of muscle i have for a nine year-old to catch up with him, "Where is class crescent moon?" I ask.

Dakota walked to class seeing Hybrid and a new student. She watched for a second then continued walking to class.

"Ah, this is so boring, I have nothing to do!" I say to myself, I wonder if there are any interesting people here that want to have fun with me!

"Up there" I pointed to the stairs. I dashed towards them with great speeds, as I was in my lightning form. I ran into tthe classroom and sat in my normal seat, center seat of the center row.

Dakota noticed lightning for a split second from the corner of her eye, sighed, and continued walking toward class.

I walked into class and decided to sit in the mid-back of the room, near the left corner. "You there, boy who turned into lightning, what is your greatest fear?" I ask with a smile on my face.

I leaned back on my chair, waiting for my classmates to enter along with that new kid.

"I don't know, I never thought about it. What's yours?" I asked.

Dakota takes her normal seat to the side of the classroom.

Having to spend a day in the sunshine, it just gives me the creeps thinking of it," I say, "want to see yours?" I asked him.

"I... I don't know..." I say, sensing unsettling vibes from this boy.

"I take that as a yes," I say, activating my ability to go into his feelings and bring out the thing that gives him the greatest fear to his mind, "enjoy!" I say, smiling as I watch.

She looks over noticing Hybrid talking to the new kid again but looking uncomfortable this time but decides to blow it off.

At first I saw nothing, but emerging from my mind came my deepest, darkest fear. Though this didnt affect me fully. Immediately my arm shot to the blade of electricity which I had drew back in preparation for a potential battle with my fear.

I was sitting back in my chair laughing at the fact that he acted for battle when his fear came out, "That was a first, I think I am going to have some fun this year," I say, slowly starting to stop laughing.

Shin walks into class and notices Hybrid talking to a new kid. "Hey what's up with the emo brat?"

Dakota, confused, watches the kid and Hybrid again.

"Hmm, been awhile since someone called me that, I think we might get along, but first, what is your greatest fear?" I ask the student.
