She smiled, and hugged him tightly, tears coming to her eyes. "I... I'm happy you knew your parents, and that they loved you. I never knew mine. They dropped me off at an orphanage. The kids that I knew there all died of the Kishin Egg that Caroline saved me from..." She tried to smile, and hugs him tighter.

She smiled, and handed it to him, curling his fingers unders hers over the stem. "Cherish the petals of life, even if the petals fall, or the stem is cut short. You never know when it could happen. At least, someone important to me told me that." She smiled, her eyes twinkling.

"Just keep your eyes closed, Derek." I said giggling, leading him towards the roof of the DWMA: my favorite spot to sit at night. "Ok, open your eyes." I stated softly, sitting both of us down on the roof.

She smiles back, and looks at the sky, her white hair all around her shoulders. "Derek... what if we don't make it out of the battle?" She asked softly, looking up at the sky, wondering if her parents were up there too, looking down on her.
